About the Program

Description

A Professional Caregiver provides assistance and support – in the form of bathing, dressing, meal preparation and companionship – to individuals who need help with daily activities due to illness, disability, aging or other health conditions. Tasks typically center on non-medical support. Professional Caregivers work in a variety of settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or hospitals. It’s important to keep in mind that many of these jobs could involve working weekends, nights and holidays.
